Won Korean Dining @ Isetan One Utama

Yesterday, me and my boyfriend's family had payed a visit to Won Korean Dining at Isetan One Utama Shopping Mall.
The Eat Paradise in Isetan 1U has just opened not too long ago. There are quite a few restaurants in Eat Paradise, most of them serves Japanese foods. I believe that this is a good place where you can chill out with plenty of delicious foods, and of course you have to paying higher price for quality foods.

Actually we have planned to go for Korean cuisine, so maybe we will try the other Japanese cuisine in Eat Paradise next time. For me, especially the Puran B (Japanese spin-off from Plan B).

Okay, back to topic.

Food not only feeds your appetite but fills your soul.

We ordered a set of Samgyupsal (Grilled Pork Strips) with Hot Stone Bibimbab, Haemulpajeon and Yuja Tea (Herbal Tea that made from citron fruit) that costs RM100++. The set we ordered is for 3 pax, but we think it's enough for us and we decided to add-on some other dishes too! We chose to tried Samgyupsal Duruchigi Dupbab and Kimchi Udon Soup. Both of the dishes cost RM20++, as expected.

Aloe Vera drink. Almost all the Korean restaurants in Malaysia serve Aloe juice. I think that it is because of Korean's healthy concept. I have no doubt that Aloe is good for health too! Besides, I simply love the aloe taste!

If you dine frequently in Korean restaurant, I believe you sure know that there are always number of small dishes (Banchan) served along with main courses. In Won Korean Dining, you can try plenty of small dishes and it is refillable. FYI, I'm not even able to name some of the dishes LOL. But I definitely know...

Kimchi, the essential side dish of a standard Korean meal. Basically, Kimchi is fermented vegetables, usually cabbage, seasoned with chili peppers and salt.

Bibimbap is a common and signature dish in Korean restaurant.Basically, Bibimbap  is served as a bowl of warm white rice topped with seasoned vegetables, and fried egg and sliced meat are common additions. In Won Korean Dining, you can choose different Bibimbap with chicken, pork or beef. We chose the traditional, which is a vegetable Bibimbap.

The ingredients are stirred together thoroughly just before eating. Looks yummy!

The Kimchi Udon Soup in hot stone pot. The soup is just too awesome.

Samgyupsal Duruchigi Dupbab, my favorite spicy-fried prok served on a bed of rice.
I have to say that they are perfect match!

Haemulpajeon, Korean-style seafood pancake, or I can say Korean pizza? LOL

Samgyupsal a.k.a pork belly! You can tell how fresh the meats are.

It is worth pointing out that the waiter/waitress will helps you to grills the pork bellies, so that you no need to worry you might sweating like mad in the process of grilling pork bellies. You can just sitting there, chilling with your friends/family LIKE A BOSS, and get yourself ready to taste the fresh and tasty Samgyupsal!

Almost done, my precious pork belly, come to MAMA!

The grilled pork belly meats are ready! The most The most common accompaniments for Samgyupsal are lettuce, grilled onion and sliced raw garlic. You can wrapped the meat in a Korean lettuce, together with some onions and raw garlic. For me, I prefer eat the pork belly by just dipping Gireumjang, a sauce that  made with salt and sesame oil, sometimes also with a small amount of black pepper. You can always customize it to your liking.

Well, in Won Korean Dining, you'll get what you expecting. In a scale of 1 to 10, I give the restaurant 7 as an overall rating! The environment is normal, nothing can really WOW me. The foods they serve are not bad either, but nothing to rave about. Ask me If I'll come here again in the future? To be honest, I'm not sure, because I want to try out more different Korean restaurants.

So till next time...

Take a Step

Hi, it's time for me to wipe off the dust of my bloggie. Never update for such a long period, forgive me my readers (IF THERE ARE SOMEBODY WHO ACTUALLY READING MY BLOG LOL).

My recent life can be concluded by two words, assignment and boredness
FYI, I am currently in my final semester, and of course there is shitty assignment that annoyed me a lot.
Finally the assignments are all done, and now I have a short period of time for me to cool down and rest awhile before taking my final examination.

Because I don't want to waste time, I decided to go to Jobstreet.com, and searched some job opportunities for my future full time job. Well, there are three company had viewed my resume through Jobstreet and called me, I had rejected them because of the time problem. WTF they all want me to start work in this month, excuse me, I already stated that I'm only available after December, which mean I can only start working next year. Quite frustrated after rejected their offers, because I hate missed out opportunity!

But, I won't give up so easily and good things come to those who wait! The company that I'm interested a lot  had called me and asked me to go for an interview! I will never ever forget the feeling of the moment that I received their call! Thanks MAMA!

Went to the interview, I guess that my performance was consider not bad and the interviewer seemed impress! I was told that I have been shortlisted and she will notices me for the 2nd interview in a short time.
Hope that if i make it, I can work well in that company and build up my career!

That's all for today's post, peace out!

Vent my anger!

Seriously, I was so lazy to update my blog recently. Call me lazy bone LOL.
Recently was very busy for my final assignment and FYI, this is my last semester. Thank God.
My College had upgraded to University since last month, for me, I have no special thought and feeling about it because no matter it named college or university, IT STILL SUCKS! Poor management, poor lecture, poor schedule arrangement, poor environment, poor student WiFi, and the MAX level poor student accommodation.

The student hostel is horrible bad bad bad, believe me, You don't wish to know the details. But because the rental fee - RM250 per month is cheap, so I tolerate with it and stay until today. But, recently I have a new roommate, and this girl is a super. She doesn't know how to communicate with her roommate, behave like she's still living in her own sweet home. I can bear with your friends coming to our room, talking and gossiping with their extremely loud voice volume. But your dear friends are way too over, I am the one who pay RM250 every months and yet your friends can come over and sleep on my bed as they pleased! Wtf, you guys don't even learn what is manners? Plus they not even help me to tidy up my bed after they slept, seriously? I am shame on you, girls.

YES I AM.

Also, the stupid SEGi management had come with a new compulsory extra subject called E-Resources and PPD (Professional Personal Development) for all the students, which costs nearly RM1500!!! This blood-sucked lesson with launch on next year, 2013. Luckily I am on my last semester and successfully escaped from this pitfall.

For the fresh graduates who are seeking post-secondary education, it is your future, don't rush it! Discuss with your family or friends to gain more information! What I can conclude here is, SEGi is not a good place for you to pursue your dream.

My Elephant by DooDee

Hi, just a quick short post. Do you often get questions like where to have your lunch? Do you always can't make up your mind or have no idea of what to eat for lunch?

Recently me and my boyfie had tried My Elephant @ Happy Maison. My Elephant  is an ideal place for you to enjoy variety of nice Thai food. But, do be aware that this restaurant is always crowded during lunch hours, so to avoid wasting your time waiting to be seated, be sure to go there early or make reservations before you dine-in.

His Choice, Rice + myElephant Chicken Maryland

myElephant Phad Thai

For those people who are first time, this place is actually a hidden gem. It located at the ground floor of the flats, right next to a school named Sekolah Kebangsaan Sri Damai, and behind the famous Chicken Rice Shop. Do not be disappointed by the outlook though, because it may look simple yet it has a warm and welcoming ambiance. During lunch time, the lowest price starts from RM9.90 per set. Basically all the sets come with a glass of refreshing pandan drink and a watermelon.

After tried out their dishes for the first time, I'm beginning to understand why this restaurant is so popular and always packed. They have another outlet in Sri Hartamas and Aman Suria. Pay them a visit and you won't regret!

20th Birthday

I am officially 20 now! And one year closer to magical age of 21, one year closer to Genting Casino! (shhh, I'm not a gambler LOL) Okay, back to topic, I celebrated my birthday with my family and of course him this year. I was so satisfied with this year's birthday celebration yet felt kinda sad that unable to celebrate with my sisters and friends. I miss them. :'(

Originally planned to have family dinner for my birthday but my father was outstation during that time! How sad. However, me and my family still managed to have a small celebration in our home. I just not that happy because of my father not here with me for my birthday. Really bad timing huh! Still thanks to my mother who bought me my favorite cheese cake and my brothers who sang me a birthday song! =)

At here, I would like to thanks my mummy who brought me to this world and raising me, teaching me attentively. Without her suffers of gave birth, I won't be able to celebrated 20 years of birthday with so much joys. Mother love is always a great love. I love you mummy.

Ohhh, forgot to mention that my birthday celebration with my family was on 6 Nov 2012, which is my birthday-eve. The reason why my family helped me celebrated my birthday earlier is because I had class on the next day and I had to go back to my hostel.

But, I never attended the class lol. My boyfie said he had a whole day plan for me, and he afraid that I had no time to attend my evening class. Whatever, I'm the big boss of the day, so, let's absent!

7th Nov 2012, we went out to took our breakfast around 9 something I guessed. Well, clearly that he never included the breakfast in his birthday celebration plan so we just had McDonald breakfasts at random. After that, we rushed back and got ourselves prepared due to he said we were running out of time. I was like wtf, what is his plan actually? Why a big boss had to rush in her birthday aka big day? Seriously my brain was full of question marks during that day. Well, I'm dislike the feeling of being the one who don't know anything but others did. But still, I knew he wanted to give a surprise so I should just follow his plan. =)

Selca in the car while we rushing to Midvalley.

Why Midvalley? Because it is part of my birthday celebration, which is a movie dating! He chose the movie "Skyfall: 007" and bought a couple seat, I do love couple seat because it is so much comfortable than normal seat. Back to the movie, Skyfall actually is a nice movie but the duration of the movie was a bit long, I was drank a lot of water while watching the movie, so I guessed you guys should know what's happened next...YES, I'm in the urgency of pee for around an hour till the movie was ended, so do him.

I was wondering why this James Bond movie named "Skyfall"...Well, now I know why.
(I don't want become a spoiler, so for whose never watch, go check it out, it worth the price.)

After the movie, we never shopping in Midvalley. Instead, we went to KLCC, according to his plan. His stomach was not feeling well when we were on the way going to there, he claimed that it was because he's too hungry and I was so worried! I had experienced stomach cramp before so I know how it feel like. I was completely lack of strength to hold the steering and drive during that time. But he still managed to drive and reach our destination cool and steadily. So pity of him.

I was keep thinking that we would just have a casual high tea session in KLCC but...yeah...He did wow me 99 this time. I was keep asking where we going? What you want to eat? LIKE A IDIOT. At the end I just gave up and following his step to his secret plan of high tea session. When we reached the front door of Mandarin Oriental KL, I was totally freak out. I was keep thinking "Are you kidding me?" and "It will be a fucking expensive high tea!" in my mind LOL.

Lounge on the Park @ Mandarin Oriental KL

I did impressed by their environment and atmosphere, luxury yet leisurely. The afternoon tea here is available from 2.30pm to 6pm daily. There are two afternoon teas to choose from, The Royal English Afternoon Tea and Holger Deh Chocolate Afternoon Tea. I was quite blur and don't know what to ordered so I just passed the order part and let him to decided. He ordered two different sets of afternoon tea, like I mentioned above, the Royal English and Holger Deh Chocolate.

Personally, I think both are nice, but I still prefer the chocolate afternoon tea simply because I am chocoholic. As for the tea selection, his choice is peppermint tea and mine is jasmine tea.

 Holger Deh Chocolate Afternoon Tea

Royal English Afternoon Tea

The scones that come with the Royal English afternoon tea, served with clotted cream, and homemade strawberry jam, orange jam and lemon curd.

Cambridge burnt cream, I like the smooth texture!

Jasmine tea x Hazelnut macaron

I don't know what it named and I not ever got a bite of it due to he said that it tasted weird.

A free marble cheese cake for the birthday girl!

 Candid shot by me!

Candid shot by him!

Outfit of the day: H&M black dress

After high tea session, we planned on have a walk in KLCC but clearly we have no mood to do shopping during my birthday! Consider the peak hour of traffic jam was around, so we went off ealier and heading to his next destination.

Selca while stuck in the car because of the traffic jam.

Our mouth shape are same! LMAO

I'm not hate to stuck in the traffic jam when I'm not the driver HAHA,
because I can always selca. WHATEVER.

He was a bit pissed off because of his smartphone GPS - Waze during that time because the GPS keep on disconnected and lose the location for no reason. When we on our way to the place for dinner, his baby GPS keeps lose signal and I can see and tell that he was so frustrated. I asked him whether he need my help or not, and he almost want to burst out his secret dining place! HAHAHA!

But still, we reached the place safe and sound. To be honest, I do know where he's gonna bring me to before we reached. Sorry my dear, I'm just too smart. But still, I'm surprised of your persistence of bringing me to SOULed OUT. For your information, he promised me to brought me to SOULed OUT for my birthday dinner last year but we changed to TAO Japanese Buffet last minute due to he knew that I always a Japanese foods-addicted. I'm so thankful that finally my birthday can be something different, other than sashimi and sushi.

For your information, He did booking for the table early before my birthday and special required for second floor table. I do love the second floor atmosphere, it's more quite and comfort compare to the lower floor. I don't like to have my birthday dinner in a open and noisy area and seems like he know my mind very well. I like the small details he noticed and the arrangement.

We were so fulled because of the afternoon tea. Thus, we just ordered the drinks and small bite and chilled for awhile before we ordered our main course again.

Mint Royale Mocktail (Alcohol-free drink) for me and Kilkenny beer for him

I absolutely love my drink of the night. It is a mix of Fresh Mint Leaves,Fresh Lime Wedges, Mint Syrup, Fresh Green Apple Juice and tasted so good and smooth. As for the Kilkenny, He said it was nice but for me I still prefer Hoegaarden.

Cheese nachos is something that goes really well with beer. The chewy cheese topped with thin slices of bacon goes really well with the thin, crispy nachos and it makes me non stop eating even I'm fulled. The size of SOULed OUT's cheese nachos is too large for couple, I think it is a perfect dish for a bunch of friends while gossiping or watching a match of football.

 Fuck face of boyfie

 The very cute desk lamp

Go away Kilkenny, mocktail tastes much more nicer than you.

While waiting for our stomach to digest, we played a mini game named "Would You Rather". We had came out with a lot of difficult questions and it is so hilarious when watching him struggle between two choices HAHAHA. However, this game proved that there is always a difference between man and woman, especially their mindset. What we can do is accept the fact and communicate with each other with a lot of patience to kick off the barrier between man and woman. We do had a open heart conversation on that night and I'm glad that we did that. I always love this kind of conversation, because it can helps us to know each other more and brings us closer than before.

After awhile, we decided to ordered our main course. Originally, he wanted to ordered a lamp chop for himself and an Australian Tenderloin for me. But thanks to the giant size nachos, we thought that it is hard for us to finish that much. So we changed our mind, just a Australian Tenderloin would be perfect.

Overall, the tenderloin was delicious and the texture was so freaking smooth and tender. The sidelines was not bad too, but nothing to rave about. I'm a beef-lover so my focus will only goes to the tenderloin HAHA.

After finish the main course, both of us were freaking full and I told to not ordered anymore. But in a short while, he told me that he need to go pee and went down. It was quite a long time for a guy to pee, but during that time, I did not suspect anything. How silly I am.

In a while after he backed to his seat, a waiter came approach us with SOULed OUT's famous Lava Cake in his hands. When I saw the smile on his face, I was totally awake of the situation. He went down not only for his peeing purpose but also prepared of this. For that moment, I was really touching, from the bottom of my heart. He is not good in prepared such surprise event but still did it for me.

Lava Cake, a must-try dessert of SOULed OUT.

Both of my boyfie and the waiter sang me a birthday song loudly. Well, it is a bit embarrassing but I'm still very pleased and enjoyed he sang me the song. The waiter  helped us to captured down the photo of the night. Spot the crown on my head, the waiter put it on my head without asking LOL.

The present from him was late for one day due to he bought it from a shipper and it takes time to send by post. He even DIY a birthday card and gave it to me with the present. For a guy who willing to spend time and DIY something for his girlfriend, it is really touch even it just a small thing.

Fred Perry Tote bag and the handmade birthday card by love one.

At here, I would like to thanks my hubby boy for prepared so much beforehand. I knew that he gave a lot of effort into these preparation and it is not easy to prepared your loved one important event. I appreciate what you have done for me, it's not about the day, it's about the moments we spent together. I love you my dear. And once again, thank you.

I always your November baby.
